VWR® Tissue Culture Flasks

VWR Collection flasks are vacuum gas plasma treated for consistent cell attachment and growth.

  • Made of crystal clear virgin polystyrene

  • Sterile and certified non-pyrogenic

  • Volume graduations on both sides with special writing area

  • Choice of vented or plug seal caps

The angled-neck design of these flasks allows access to the entire growth surface with either pipets or cell scrapers. Flasks have volume graduations on both sides, and a writing surface to facilitate sample identification.

Vented caps incorporate a 0.22 µm hydrophobic filter to allow gas exchange and minimize risk of contamination.

Plug seal caps can be used in closed systems (providing a liquid and gas-tight seal) or used in an open system (simply unscrew the cap one quarter of a turn). Packaging allows flasks to remain upright, lowering the risk of contamination.

Certifications: Manufactured in 100 000 grade cleanroom environment.

Packaging: Packed in resealable self-standing bags.

Increased Cell Attachment surface treatment can improve cell spreading and attachment

  • Available with 5 different growth areas

  • Increased Cell Attachment surface treated

  • Flask surface is flat and free from striation to maximize usable growth area

  • 2 different cap styles can be used in both open and closed systems

  • Innovative angled neck design offers good pipet and cell scraper access

  • Triangular top with wide base provides stability

  • Protruding ridge on the back side of the flask enables easy stacking

  • Special area near the neck for easy marking/writing

  • Engraved graduations on multiple sides

  • Strict integrity tested

  • Sterilized by electron beam irradiation

  • DNase- and RNase-free, and non-pyrogenic

The surface treatment is suitable for cells that may adhere poorly due to cell phenotype, stressful culture conditions, or those which normally require additional biological coatings for attachment.

Certifications: ISO13485 2003 and ISO9001 2008 certified.

Cell and Tissue Culture Flasks are ideal for cell growth and cell yields.

  • Available with five different volume ranges

  • Triangular top with wide base provides stability

  • Protruding ridge on the back side of the flask facilitates stacking

  • Engraved graduations on multiple sides

  • Strict integrity tested

  • Sterilized by electron beam irradiation

  • Non-pyrogenic and are not autoclavable

Flasks are designed for use in applications where cell attachment is not desired. They offer an operating temperature range of –20 to 50 °C (–4 to 122 °F). Two different cap styles can be used in both open and closed systems. Flask surface is flat and free from striation to maximize usable growth area. Innovative angled neck design offers good pipet and cell scraper access. Special area near the neck for easy marking/writing.

Certifications: ISO13485 2003 and ISO9001 2008 certified.

Ordering information: Packaged in durable zip resealable self-standing plastic bags that allow flasks to remain upright and reduce contamination. Every bag is labeled with Lot Number for quality traceability.
